An Improvement in the Health of School Children
July 10, 2023

In Attakasikro, the locals are still reaping the full benefits of the Transformational Community Development (TCD) interventions. They recount how their lives have changed for the better. Teti visited the school and had a chat with the director. The director recounted improvement in the health of the kids, especially since the provision of water. The children do not fall ill often and are better at school. Teti used the opportunity to interact and engage with the children. He had TCD lessons on personal hygiene, particularly oral hygiene and proper handwashing. Many of the children got toothbrushes and were shown how to use it properly. It was an exciting time and we hope that subsequent months will be for more development-focused activities
The locals of Effaoho woke up to the collapse of the ventilated improved pit (VIP) latrine built in their community. The locals are willing to invest and actively participate in the rebuilding of the latrine. The VIP latrine is planned to be rebuilt with cement blocks as opposed to mud bricks that were used in building the collapsed one.
Thank you!
