Six months ago, Dulu didn’t know much about Transformational Community Development (TCD). She took the TCD training and she received a new toilet and tubewell (with water pump) through TCD. She told us about her life. Her husband died a few years ago. Her daughter got married and also has a child, but her daughter’s husband also died. So, there are three people in her family. They were living with some problems. Earlier, they had a raw toilet, just a hole in the ground. Since the toilet was not good, there were a lot of bad smells coming out of the toilet and they suffered more during rainy days. The base of the tube well was also unfinished, and dirty water always accumulated at the base.

Dulu could not fix either of these problems. After the TCD program came to her village, and with the help of TCD, their toilet was improved, and the base of the tubewell was also paved. Now even during the rainy season, they do not have any problem, there is no bad smell, and they can drink pure water. She is happy to have the cooperation of TCD and she thanks TCD a lot for helping her. We are thankful that our village has the opportunity to become self-sustainable and grow.
