Kyaw, a local leader, saw what was happening in a Transformational Community Development (TCD) model village and decided to take action in his own community immediately.
Kyaw had joined TCD training in Rakhine State and was excited to implement the program in his own village. He often visited a TCD model village near his village and was motivated by the great works the community has achieved. However, he was unable to make a good start in his village because of the difficulties caused by the war. He visited again this month to the model village and found a significant event that the TCD committee executed. He found the event meaningful, encouraging and inspiring. The event was about displaying the harvested food of the agricultural sector at the community facility and inviting the entire community to attend the event, vote for the best crops and provide knowledge and encouragement to them to participate in the development process. There were more than 150 people who visited the showroom.
After seeing all those actions, he got excited and decided to mobilize people in his community to initiate a TCD program.
Thank you,
