The ongoing crisis in Syria has left countless families struggling to meet their basic needs. At GHNI, we’re committed to providing immediate relief and long-term support to help Syrian families rebuild their lives.

Disaster Response Now

• Emergency Food Packages: We’ll distribute weekly food packages to families in need, containing essentials like flour, rice, beans, and cooking oil. 
  • Each $80 package feeds a family of four for one week.
  • For $320, we can provide a month’s worth of food supplies to a family, ensuring they have consistent access to nutrition.
• Resettlement Support:  We’re offering $5,000-$6,000 resettlement packages for refugees wanting to return home, helping them restart their lives with dignity by providing basic food, cleaning and cooking supplies. The basics needed to get back on their feet.

How will we carry out this disaster relief operation?

Your gifts will be stewarded through our partnership network. We work with and through local agencies who are set up to get food and supplies to the people in deepest need. We have a trusted partner in Aleppo who has attended the conference we host in Geneva each June (Geneva Institute for Leadership and Public Policy), and understands the critical need for collaboration and implementing fair and just policies for the poor and those in need.

Long-Term Development

Beyond immediate relief, we’re committed to implementing our proven Transformational Community Development (TCD) model to help communities become self-sustainable. We hope this will include: 

• Vocation Skills Training
• Education Support for children to have access to education
• Basic medical care and support.
• Mental Health Services – Recognizing the trauma many have endured, we’ll provide counseling and mental health support.

GHNI has extensive experience and success responding to similar “transitions of power.”  One of the most recent examples is when the Taliban took over in Afghanistan.  While others were fleeing, our brave staff remained and served their fellow countrymen.  As a result, our work there continues and is flourishing to this day.
