Change Starts With Yourself

These ladies are rejecting their past indifference and taking on a fresh outlook on life.

Maryam is one of the children of the Transformational Community Development (TCD) group in Bani Mazar. Maryam shared that she did not respect elders and did not care about her cleanliness, but through TCD classes, she learned and changed, becoming interested in her appearance and respecting everyone.

Basmala from the TCD group in Bani Mazar shared with Simala what she learned about one of her purposes in society, which is to reject mistakes and not repeat them. She learned through TCD lessons that she is part of the community that can cause change, and that change starts with herself.

Fatima from the TCD Teenage Group was indifferent to education, but because of the impact of TCD classes, she began to diligently work to complete her education. Her heart is open to grow and change.

Marina and Madonna are leaders of the TCD class. It is growing rapidly, and with many innovations, they evolve and learn more to help TCD classes progress and challenge every time to be the best for others.

Education

Five women were taught to read and write, and now these classes continue to increase. School bags were distributed to children of TCD groups to start a new school year. Distribution of the bags reached more than 150 children.
