Opportunities always provide a way to learn and grow when you can achieve the goals. The Women’s Empowerment Center provides opportunities for the women in Mirpurkhas Sindh, where they are learning about sewing. Recently, they have completed the six-month training course. They learn how to stitch and cut patterns. They are excited that now they are able to cut and stitch clothes. As the students are excited, the trainer is happy and excited that her dream has come true.

One of the students shared her life story. She said, “I belong to a community where women have been victimized and were not allowed to attend schools. We are not allowed to make decisions, travel alone, etc., but since I have joined the Women’s Empowerment Center, through Transformational Community Development (TCD) training I have learned and experienced change in my life and many other women, too. We can make changes in society and in our community. TCD training gives us hope and new opportunities to take a stand and courageously talk in our community. This change will never end. As I learn from the sewing center, I want to open it for the women in my area so that they can also learn and grow.”
