We continue to provide lessons for mothers in our Transformational Community Development (TCD) group led by Umm Batoul from Shobra Al Kheima. She shared, “I am a mother of two young children, and I always cooperate with my children, but in their dealings with the society in which we live, they are also weak like me. We are often harassed and hurt, and this has greatly affected my children. After listening to a lesson about confronting the problems that exist in society, I began to plant these ideas inside them. I began to make a decision to fill their thoughts and lives with the idea that they face society with understanding and strength, and I say to my children, ‘I am the hero of my relationship with myself and with others.’ The TCD class helped me a lot in my life and the lives of my children, which have improved for the better.”
During a meeting with the teen group, Nancy shared, “I am 15 years old, and I am very diligent in my studies at school. I learn new lessons every week in the TCD group, and I pass on all the lessons I learn to my family. I also have a group of friends at school with whom I share what I learn. The result is wonderful because I see the change happening to others as it happened to me.”
Thank you,
