Should we be prepared for opposition or wait for it? You never know where it will come from. At least that’s how it was for me. Just last month, the teachers and I were sitting at the same table, treating each other to food and bestowing good wishes, talking about plans for the future. Then, the very next day I was told, “We won’t work with you because you believe differently.”

Unfortunately, I have to close my Transformational Community Development (TCD) position at the third school for now because some teachers object to my working there. The principal and the vice principal remain my friends, however, and they come to meetings at other schools. I’m sure I’ll return there.

We are afraid that this spark of discontent will flare up. We wish to avoid opposition again.
