We recently shared Transformational Community Development (TCD) lessons entitled “Marital Problems and Their Causes, Including a Lack of Financial Resources.” Magda participated and shared she is always in trouble with her husband because of their financial situation. He does not have a fixed salary; they have four children, and his income is day by day. Her problem was that she spent all of her husband’s daily income and did not take into account the next day’s needs. There was no wisdom in spending. Magda said, “After discussing this topic within the group, I learned to help my husband with simple work from home and to spend wisely, saving a little for the coming days.”
This month we also presented lessons about telling the truth and not lying. Damiana shared, “I used to do a lot of things behind my mother’s back, and when she would ask me about those things, I would hide it from her so she wouldn’t hit me. Something changed when I learned the TCD lesson to tell the truth. One time I took money from my mother, and when she asked me, I told her I hadn’t seen any money. After I said that, I remembered the lesson that I have to tell the truth, so I decided to tell the truth even if I got hit. I told my mother I was sorry and I wouldn’t do it again, and she forgave me and didn’t hit me. I stopped lying, and I started telling the truth all the time, even if I get punished.”
Thank you,
