No Longer Easily Provoked

Demiana learned the importance of kind words and calm control.

A casual photo of Umm Mariam, TCD participant in Egypt. - No Longer Easily Provoked

Demiana participated in the Transformational Community Development (TCD) class about the impact of cruel words. “I’m always easily provoked, nervous, and get angry quickly. I can’t control my tongue and my words. Many of my friends get upset with me. I was sad about that. After attending a TCD class about the importance of controlling my tongue, I realized I needed to be aware of the words I use and not use bad language. I also need to think about what I say and the consequences for the listener. For example, in class, my friend Hanan harassed me and snatched my pen from my hand, but I quickly remembered what I’d learned and was able to control my tongue and not get angry. I’m happy with what I’ve learned and will share it with my friends at school.”

Thank you,
