A painful road leads to emotional restoration and a new sense of hope.
Faten is an Iraqi woman who lost her son, Sinan, nine years ago. He was tragically killed in his shop simply because he had different beliefs. For years, Faten believed she had moved on and healed from the trauma of his loss. However, after joining our Transformational Community Development (TCD) trauma healing sessions for Iraqi refugee women, Faten came to a painful realization—she had not truly healed. Through the sessions, she discovered that she still carries deep unresolved pain, is struggling with forgiveness, and continues to wrestle with her beliefs.
Now, we are walking alongside Faten as she begins her true healing journey. Through ongoing support, counseling, and respectful discussions, we are helping her face her pain, process her grief, and take steps toward forgiveness. Our hope is that she will not only find emotional restoration but also begin to rebuild her belief system, rediscovering Hope and peace along the way.
Thank you!
