Despite significant political and economic challenges in Myanmar, the Transformational Community Development (TCD) program is making remarkable strides among the Mro ethnicity near Yangon. Spearheaded by trained leaders Luke and Malar, TCD knowledge has been successfully disseminated to 20 community leaders across 20 Mro communities, establishing a strong foundation for widespread impact and fostering a new sense of hope amidst adversity.

A pivotal awareness meeting, facilitated by the GHNI team, introduced the concepts of Worldview and Development, leading to a profound realization among participants. They identified that deep-seated misconceptions, rather than external factors, were the true hindrances to their progress. Recognizing their rich history but also their vulnerability as a minority facing potential extinction, Mro leaders are now galvanizing their people to overcome division, unite, and urgently embrace TCD as the essential catalyst for their collective development journey.

Under the continued guidance of Luke and Malar, over 30 individuals are consistently engaged in TCD core lessons. This ongoing training is not merely theoretical; it is directly inspiring and enabling tangible development initiatives within these communities. Through this empowering process, leaders are taking decisive action, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to shaping a brighter, more resilient future as the Mro community actively charts its own path toward holistic and sustainable development.
