Cocoa Cash Crop

A successful cocoa harvest is motivating the Attakasikoro community.

Attakasikoro continues to reap the benefits of the Transformational Community Development (TCD) training on agricultural practices. During the current cocoa harvest, the TCD champion shared that one of the local TCD workers, Koussi, was able to make a profit of about 3,000,000 CFA ($5,317) by utilizing the TCD practices he was taught.

Our efforts towards Income Generation have also inspired him to diversify his business from simply growing the food into a grocery or catering business. His first step is investing in a restaurant, which is currently under construction.

TCD is definitely transforming the lives of many members of the community and engaging their minds on how to source and generate new streams of sustainable income.
