Lopika* succeeded in retrieving her land documents from the bank after paying off the entire loan amount. She has a beautiful family of seven members, but their lives were miserable due to poverty and a lack of income sources. To build a house and support their children’s education, she and her husband took out a loan from the bank, mortgaging the land documents. However, due to a lack of income, they were unable to make their loan installments on time, and the bank issued a final warning: pay off the loan or risk losing the land to auction. Lopika  and her husband were distressed and worried about the bank loan.

With no income source, it was impossible for her to repay the bank loan, so she wanted to increase their income by keeping goats. Transformational Community Development (TCD)‘s training in Income Generation and goat keeping provided her with the necessary skills. She received a small amount of seed money to help with her goat-keeping venture. She did a remarkable job in goat keeping and became financially self-sustainable. Finally, this month, she sold some male goats, paid off her bank loan, and got her property (land) documents back from the bank. She and her husband were very happy and grateful to TCD for their success. Through the TCD program, Lopika  achieved financial sustainability. TCD’s small seed money, awareness, and education brought transformation to her life. The land property that was almost lost was regained because of TCD.
