Marie is a dedicated and hardworking mother living in a rural community where access to quality education has long been a serious challenge. Before the intervention of the Transformational Community Development (TCD) program, Marie found it very difficult to enroll her daughter, Josephine, in school. The nearest school was located far from their community, and the cost of transportation was beyond her financial ability. Because of this, Josephine remained at home, unable to attend school, while Marie worried daily about her child’s future and well-being.

The situation improved significantly when the TCD program established a school within Marie’s community. This intervention removed the major barriers that had prevented many children, including Josephine, from accessing education. With the school now close to home, Josephine was able to enroll and begin attending classes regularly without the stress of long-distance travel or high expenses.

Since joining the school, Josephine has shown noticeable improvement in her confidence, discipline, and interest in learning. Marie is very happy and relieved, knowing that her child now has access to education. The TCD program has restored her hope and strengthened her belief in a brighter and more secure future for her daughter.

Through TCD, the Education Committee hopes to see more underserved families gain access to education and essential services. The goal of the Education Committee is to support initiatives that remove barriers for children, empower parents, and create sustainable opportunities that improve lives, strengthen unity, and ensure a better future for coming generations.
