For many years, the people of Baribeda Village did not fully understand the importance of Income Generation. Because of this lack of awareness, many villagers did not take regular work seriously. One such individual was Saheb Ram, a house mason by profession. Although he possessed the necessary skills, he did not work consistently and failed to focus on earning a stable income, which negatively affected his livelihood and financial security.

Recognizing this challenge, the Transformational Community Development (TCD) committee members began working to spread awareness about the importance of Income Generation. They motivated villagers to value regular work and guided them toward self-reliance. Through continuous encouragement and support, the committee helped Saheb Ram realize the importance of commitment and seriousness in his masonry work.

As a result of this guidance, Saheb Ram committed to working on a regular basis. Currently, he earns around 500 rupees ($5.50) per day within the village, resulting in a monthly income of approximately 15,000 rupees ($165). His progress clearly shows how understanding and practicing Income Generation can bring positive change, stability, and confidence to an individual’s life.
