Rajib, one of the active members of the Transformational Community Development (TCD) program in Babujote, is physically challenged and lives with his widowed mother. The family faced persistent financial hardship and limited livelihood opportunities, which affected their overall stability and quality of life. Due to economic constraints and Rajib’s physical limitations, sustaining a reliable source of income remained a significant challenge.

Through his involvement in TCD and regular participation in community meetings, Rajib learned about the importance of Income Generation, self-reliance, and long-term planning. Motivated to support his mother and improve their living conditions, he decided to start a pig-farming initiative. Despite facing financial limitations, Rajib demonstrated determination and perseverance. With encouragement from his family and guidance gained through TCD, he gradually established a small pig farm.

Today, Rajib’s pig-farming initiative has brought greater financial stability and confidence to his household. The family no longer struggles as they once did and now enjoys a cleaner, safer, and more dignified life. Rajib’s success has also inspired other villagers in Babujote to consider income-generating activities. Several families are now motivated to pursue similar initiatives, reflecting a positive transformation and a meaningful step toward building a more self-reliant and sustainable community.
