JOIN OUR WORK

Officially the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Jordan is a country of immense history and culture at the crossroads of the world.

Through the last few decades of turmoil in the Middle East, Jordan has become a safe have for refugees fleeing from conflict and disaster. Global Hope Network International has been working in Jordan since 2005, without regard to cultural, national, or religious background. GHNI Jordan values the encouragement and generosity of our partners. We cannot exist without individuals and groups who are committed to standing with us and with the people of the Arab.

VILLAGE/PROJECT

Villager, Jorda

"I have never received help to this degree from any organization."

Quote from a mother upon receiving her Sewing Certificate: “Thank you so much for the thing that I get from this center. I don’t get it from other places. We are able to help our husbands with family income. We appreciate with it love and affection.”

House of Ruth, Jordan

Ma’in Village is located about 35 km from Amman. It has the highest unemployment rate recorded in the Madaba Governorate, with a rate of 28.3 percent. There is also a significant lack of development projects, education and self-sustaining local projects. In terms of health service, there is limited capacity and capabilities provided in relation to the number of the population.

The House of Ruth is serving the impoverished community surrounding Ma’in by providing opportunities to develop skills and generate income – especially women and children.

Children within the community receive English and computer literacy lessons, along with summer activities timed around the school calendar. The center also has medical and dental clinics.

Families are able to access the medical care freely and receive assessment, medication and advice. The clinic aims to care for patients in a holistic way: giving physical and emotional support.
