This quarter, the Mro Youth Development Association (MYDA) achieved another milestone by installing a solar energy system to support their training program. Recognizing the need for a sustainable power source to charge electronic devices used during training sessions, MYDA launched a local fundraising effort. With substantial contributions from the community and supplementary financial support from GHNI, they successfully acquired and installed a solar panel system, including an inverter and battery. This innovative step has ensured the continuity of their youth training program, enabling the delivery of Transformational Community Development (TCD) lessons without interruption.

The installation of the solar panel system has had an immediate and profound impact, allowing training sessions to run efficiently and providing the youth with uninterrupted access to resources. The program continues to nurture young leaders who are making transformative changes in their villages, from tree planting to community development initiatives. As MYDA forges ahead, their focus remains on empowering youth, conserving the environment, and building a resilient, self-sustaining community.
