At the Beginning

Despite political turmoil, Nhoma Village is continuing their agricultural endeavors.

Nhoma Village is a primarily Portuguese-speaking village in Guinea Bissau, a nation that is still recovering from the military coup and currently transitioning to a military government.

Despite these challenges, the agricultural project has progressed to the point of clearing the land in anticipation of the fencing and wiring for the farm to prevent the crops from being eaten by domestic animals. The women have also begun their contributions, playing their part in the project to ensure the dream of continued Transformational Community Development (TCD).
