In the Yelivo community, something as simple as a clean shirt carries more weight than most people realize. For a long time, many children went about their days in soiled, unwashed clothes, not out of neglect, but because of a lack. Dirt and grime became a quiet breeding ground for sickness, robbing children of the health they deserved.
This month, the community decided enough was enough. Funds were mobilized, not for grand gestures, but for something practical and powerful—soap. Families who needed it most were carefully identified, and before a single bar was handed out, a training session was held, making sure that knowledge and resources arrived together.
For Mr. Laurent of the Transformational Community Development (TCD) Wellness Committee, watching this unfold was a moment of quiet pride. This was never just about soap. It was about dignity and about children who would go to sleep tonight in clean clothes, waking up a little healthier tomorrow. Sometimes, the smallest things change everything.
Thank you!
