Sharing Problems and Solutions
Shri Ambra is shifting from isolated struggles to collective action and shared solutions.
Shri Ambra is a village where people traditionally handled their problems individually rather than coming together to discuss solutions. Even when facing challenges such as poor road conditions, lack of household toilets, and limited agricultural opportunities, families often struggled alone instead of seeking collective action.
Through Transformational Community Development (TCD), we have been coaching and encouraging the community to see the power of unity. Recently, community members gathered to openly discuss their shared concerns, including the need for a better road, toilets in every home, and sustainable agricultural practices throughout the year. After the TCD lesson, they realized that they cannot wait for outside assistance and need to work on the solution while ensuring that the ideas and decisions come from the community itself.
This change from isolated problem-solving to collective planning marks meaningful progress in Shri Ambra. The community is demonstrating a willingness to move beyond old patterns of thinking and embrace cooperation for long-term growth. Their commitment to working together reflects growing ownership and hope for a stronger, healthier, and more self-sustainable future.
Thank you,
