Lompo, the Transformational Community Development (TCD) champion, met with various members of the surrounding communities and began conducting both theoretical and practical training on animal husbandry. The endeavor was supported by the local leaders and the community’s commitment to sustainable development.

Due to TCD activities, the populations of these new areas have now taken charge of their own development, and their leaders are optimistic about the spread of TCD into their communities after hearing the testimonies from the host community.

They were also able to conduct training sessions on hygiene, use of latrines, and literacy. They are also hopeful to have three centers for women’s literacy starting next school year with certification occurring in the Gourmanchematché and Fulfuldé languages, which is a source of pride for the population.
