During the Transformational Community Development (TCD) lesson topic on gossip, Boussy participated and said, “I know that gossiping is a bad thing and gossiping is an evil act, but as a result of Nubian culture, we have time every day with our neighbors to talk and have fun, and usually a large part of this time is gossiping about others. I learned that this is wrong and destroys relationships. I decided to distance myself from any gossip about others. When someone comes to talk to me about someone, I tell her that this is wrong, and I end the conversation or change the conversation to something that builds and does not destroy.”
