Families like those of Moire, Nancy, John and Fatima are still reeling from the overwhelmingly positive effects that Transformational Community Development (TCD) has had on their farming activities in the first quarter. They have testified to the change that TCD has brought in improving their standard of living through the introduction and implementation of agricultural practices that have enabled them to increase crop yield. Crops like cucumbers and potatoes have successfully been cultivated in this first quarter.

Members of the Water Committee carried out a stream cleaning exercise so the community could have a safer source of drinking water. The community is correctly deliberating on the need for a better and more hygienic water source, like a borehole or even a well, in order to provide the community with good drinking water. These steps have been taken in the hope that a better alternative source of water would soon be made available since clean water is a necessity to maintain community health and uphold stable village development.

Five children have been vaccinated at the government hospital thanks to the efforts of the TCD Wellness Committee, which has encouraged the parents and emphasized the need for immunizations to prevent some diseases. It should also be noted that the VIP latrine received its finishing touches with a fresh coat of paint and an update to its signage.
