Asim, a resident of Binodpur Village, faced many difficulties because his family did not have a proper toilet. During the rainy season, going outside for sanitation became difficult and unsafe, especially for women and children. The lack of a hygienic toilet also exposed the family to various health risks. Through Transformational Community Development (TCD) awareness and encouragement, Asim realized the importance of sanitation, health, and dignity.

Determined to improve his family’s living conditions, he took the initiative to construct a sanitary toilet. Despite financial challenges and limited resources, he remained committed. At that time, GHNI stood beside him and provided ten thousand rupees to complete the construction works.

Today, Asim’s family enjoys the benefits of a safe and hygienic toilet. They no longer have to practice open defecation, and their health, safety, and dignity have significantly improved. The toilet has brought comfort to the family, especially during bad weather and at night.

Asim’s success has become an inspiration for other families in Binodpur. His journey demonstrates that with awareness, determination, and community support, even a small improvement can create a lasting impact on the well-being of a family and the community.
