At the House of Ruth in Madaba, Jordan, a group of English language students have been working hard to learn English. With the help of Margo, a Transformational Community Development (TCD) worker, they practiced every day, learning how to have simple conversations. Margo was always patient and encouraging, helping the students feel more confident with their English. Over time, they became more comfortable speaking and could express themselves better in English.

The students’ hard work paid off when they had the chance to speak with a group of Americans who were visiting GHNI in Jordan. They were able to hold short conversations with the visitors, surprising themselves with how much they had learned. Margo watched proudly as the students confidently shared their thoughts in English. It was a special moment, showing how far they had come and how their learning had connected them with people from different parts of the world.
