Restoration Abounds
Restoration happens in different ways, but it is always a life-giving breath of fresh air.
A literacy class was opened for women in the Al Koom Al Ahmar region to empower them through education. The group began with approximately 20 women who had a genuine desire to learn and change. They were taught reading and writing in a simplified and interactive manner tailored to their needs. The class provides a space for support and encouragement, restoring women’s sense of dignity and confidence. The initiative is a practical step towards bringing light and knowledge to homes that have long suffered from darkness.
Umm Ayman said, “This is the first time I’ve learned the alphabet, and this will help me read words. It’s a truly wonderful feeling that despite my age, I’m still able to learn. Thank you, GHNI.”
George’s mother was suffering from a poor income and constant disputes with her husband, which created a charged atmosphere inside the house. Daily pressures made her live in constant tension and lose any sense of peace. By attending our Transformational Community Development (TCD) group, she began to discover the concepts of practical satisfaction and love. With encouragement and support, she accepted her life and began to change the way she dealt with her husband. I began to encourage and help her, and this reflected significantly on the atmosphere of the house. Her children noticed the calm that began to prevail, and the family relationship began to recover. George’s mother’s journey is a living testimony that real change begins from within, from the heart.
Thank you,
