Role Model for Wellness

One young girl embraced self-care, inspiring her peers and becoming a role model for personal hygiene.

In Al Koom Al Ahmar Village, one child, Amy, did not care about her personal hygiene, which saddened her mother very much. When the Transformational Community Development (TCD) group she attended presented a lesson on hygiene and self-care, Amy felt it was time to change her life. She listened well and began to take care of herself, day after day, until her parents noticed the difference. To encourage her, the class supervisor gave her a personal towel to be a sign of her new start. Since that day, Amy has become a role model for her peers.
