We had a Transformational Community Development (TCD) lesson on forgiveness. At first, some of the women were skeptical and even mocked the idea, saying that in these times there is no room for forgiveness and that forgiving is extremely difficult. However, after listening to the lesson, they began to understand that forgiveness brings peace to the soul and builds healthy relationships. They realized that it is not impossible but rather requires training, willingness, and endurance.

One of the most beautiful aspects of the session was the full participation and interaction of the entire group, which led to meaningful discussions and honest questions that reflected a genuine desire to understand and apply what they learned.

Um Ahmed shared that she had been struggling deeply with forgiveness and had a broken relationship with her neighbor due to a conflict that happened two years ago. They had not spoken since then. After the lesson, she felt encouraged to go and talk with her neighbor and was surprised to find her ready for reconciliation. Their meeting ended with a warm embrace after two years of distance and struggle.
