The Transformational Community Development (TCD) program has significantly improved community awareness of the importance of children’s education. Families that previously could not support school attendance are now sending their children to school. The TCD tutoring center provides supplementary classes and educational games, supporting children’s academic development and interest in learning.

Before the establishment of the tutoring center, many children showed little interest in attending school. Since its introduction, children have developed regular learning habits and are attending school more consistently. The center also serves as a basic learning facility for pre-primary school–age children.

TCD committee members and volunteers actively engage with community members and encourage children’s participation in the tutoring center, resulting in increased enrollment. During the current reporting period, the number of children continuing formal education has increased. TCD also supports children from low-income families by providing essential learning materials such as exercise books and pencils. This support has motivated children to attend school and the tutoring center regularly. Due to continued educational needs, TCD plans to establish an additional tutoring center.

The TCD TOT-2 (Training of Trainers) training program was successfully completed in Nayabasti Village with the participation of approximately 23 individuals. The training was productive and well received by the participants, who showed strong enthusiasm and keen interest in learning throughout the sessions. Participants actively engaged in discussions and activities, demonstrating a high level of motivation.

We expected to empower participants to apply the knowledge and skills gained to achieve positive results within their communities. In addition to participants from Nayabasti Village, individuals from surrounding cluster villages also took part in the training, which helped strengthen collaboration and shared learning across communities.
