A follow-up visit helped ensure that a vulnerable child remained in school despite family relocation within the community. Abiba, a 10-year-old Fulani girl from a low-income family, received school materials from the Transformational Community Development (TCD) committees at the beginning of the school term. After her family moved to another area in the same community, a home visit was conducted to support the continuation of her education. With support from the TCD program, Abiba, currently in Primary Five (last year of elementary school), has remained in school and is ranked first in her class. She aspires to become a doctor. A key challenge to reaching that goal is the absence of a birth certificate. We look forward to mobilizing support and seeking a solution to obtain the required documentation for Abiba.
Thank you!
