We continue to provide lessons to mothers in the Transformational Community Development (TCD) group. Lily from Haggana participated and said, “I am 39 years old, married, and a mother of three children. I usually punish my children violently, harshly, and with negative words. This has had a negative impact on my relationship with my children. After listening to the lesson, I learned the difference between discipline and punishment and how love, not anger and violence, is the basis of discipline. I learned the importance of hugs and explaining to my children the mistakes they make and correcting them with patience and understanding. The result was wonderful. My children’s behavior has improved.”
Eleven-year-old Juliana shared, “I am very shy when talking to anyone, and I used to feel small, which had a negative impact on my life and my relationships with others. After listening to the lesson in the TCD class, I learned that I have many skills that make me special in my behavior and respect for others. I am honest and trustworthy, which makes me feel confident and proud. The TCD class has helped me a lot in my life, and I know my unique characteristics that make me a special person and different from many others.”
Thank you,
