Eat Well, Study Well
Baromasia Village is continuing to uplift their community by learning better eating and education habits.
For the last three months, I have been working in the Transformational Community Development (TCD) education and food sectors. I personally saw that the community is not able to recognize their own needs, so I spoke to the community about food health and the need for education. After the lessons, several families acknowledged they would follow the balanced diet suggestions and also regularly send their children to school. I gave some seasonal fruit trees to the TCD members who have taken steps to change their perspective and actions.
This next quarter, I plan for TCD in the village to expand the education sector and the balanced diet lessons. My desire is for all of the children of the village to go to school regularly and to eat well.
Transformational Community Development (TCD) Update
TCD© is GHNI’s coaching-based process for helping villages transform themselves and break the cycle of extreme poverty.
Water
Water testing has been done. Now the community is trying to boil the well water.
Food
Only five percent of people in the village eat a balanced diet. I’m trying to help them see the need for change.
Thank you,
