Ranjita is an active member of our Transformational Community Development (TCD) team. After retirement, she was going through financial challenges and wanted to start a business in order to make a living. Last September, our TCD committee decided to focus on empowering women and started training on chicken and goat raising and making foot mats. We asked an older woman from a neighboring village to teach us how to make foot mats out of wool and palm leaves, and twice she was able to come and teach us. Later, due to her own business and declining health, she was not able to continue teaching us. Ranjita went to learn from her and is now teaching our TCD team. She has become our master trainer!
