Shri Ambra is a rural community where many families depend on farming for their livelihood. Due to limited opportunities and financial challenges, many girls are expected to marry at a young age rather than pursue skills or income-generating activities. However, some young people in the community are beginning to think differently about their future.

Through Transformational Community Development (TCD), community members have been encouraged to recognize their potential and take initiative toward achieving their goals. Jesika and twin sisters from Shri Ambra recently passed their 10th-grade examinations with first-division marks and decided to use their school holidays productively instead of simply spending their time at home.

With encouragement and guidance from TCD staff, they explored opportunities to build skills and earn an income. They developed an interest in crochet work and received an opportunity to contribute to a business through this skill. Rather than following the common path of early marriage, they have chosen to invest in their personal growth and financial independence.

Their journey reflects the impact of TCD in helping young people discover new possibilities and take ownership of their future. By choosing to learn, work, and develop new skills, these young women are setting an example for others in the community and contributing to a culture of self-reliance and long-term development.
