A little seed money changed Bishal’s* life and brought happiness to his family. He had no income sources, and it was difficult to manage his family’s expenses. Transformational Community Development (TCD) provided him a little seed money and he did a micro-shop business which started to have good income. Now his micro-shop business is good and has been profitable. He and his family are happy now.

TCD taught village families and children the importance of going to school. The TCD committees also encouraged the parents to send their children to school. TCD was successful in getting two children to attend school who were not going.

The villagers who had no income sources were taught to start Income Generation work such as  micro-business, poultry, animal husbandry, and kitchen gardening. I taught eight families with the TCD lessons, and most of them became excited and started to engage with what they learned.
