Locally sourced materials are helping villagers implement their school building plans.
Betty, a wonderful community member who embraced Transformational Community Development (TCD), now plays a vital role in Gbessebu through the mobilization of active participation for the building of the community school.
Thanks to the efforts of individuals like her, the community has successfully been able to build a temporary structure for the school using locally sourced materials like dried bamboo sticks. The structure, which is now roofed with corrugated roofing sheets, stands as a testament to the commitment of the Gbessebu community to sustainable development, especially in the TCD area of Education.
The TCD Income Generation Committee has implemented a cooperative that has provided some members of the community with goat loans. The progress of the animals has been stable, so the villagers are hopeful that they will begin to reproduce in the coming weeks.
Thank you!
