In a heartwarming tale of transformation, the community of Otono has overcome a major hurdle in their quest for clean and healthy drinking water. Prior to the introduction of Transformational Community Development (TCD) in 2022 and a refresher course in 2024, the community had relied on a broken water pipe in a hole in the ground as their source of water, posing serious health risks. However, thanks to the generosity of donors and the active participation of community members, our TCD champion, Agnes, now reports that two boreholes have been successfully drilled, providing sanitary and healthy water sources.
This remarkable achievement is a testament to the power of community-led development and the impact of collaborative efforts. The community’s jubilation, marked by waving branches in celebration, is a poignant expression of their joy and gratitude.
Thank you!
