Transformation Community Development (TCD) staff brought happiness to the community of Sundar Nayabasti Village when they introduced lessons and actions. The community people were very interested in TCD, as they faced problems with water supply, financial issues, and a lack of knowledge and education.

In the Sundar Nayabasti community, I conducted a TCD vision-casting meeting with community leaders, sharing the basic ideas, strategies, and plans of TCD. They felt blessed. We formed the TCD Village Committee, consisting of seven members, and taught them working strategies and their responsibilities towards TCD. This village was struggling with a lack of drinking water, which prompted TCD to initiate a hand pump installation—an essential need.

With our TCD team, in partnership with three local churches, we successfully installed a hand pump and water tap at minimal labour costs and on a low budget. As a result, ten nearby families benefited. Women, who previously had to walk for hours to collect drinking water, now have access to clean and pure water for drinking and cooking. They are thrilled and thankful to TCD.

This is just the beginning for TCD in this village, which has had a positive impact in the community. They need more hand pumps and Income Generation initiatives. We plan to focus on children’s Education and Income Generation alongside the water project.
