Values are being instilled in the youth to bring Help and Hope to their communities.
The Rakhine Expansion Program continues to have a positive impact on Mro communities as the Mro Youth Development Association (MYDA) equips young people to serve their people through non-formal education programs. This month marks the success of MYDA’s third batch of youth development training, bringing the total number of empowered individuals to over 60. These young leaders are now dedicated to bringing hope and assistance to their communities.
Transformational Community Development (TCD) values are being instilled by MYDA leaders and passed on to the next generation, who will shape the future of their respective communities. The training program integrates TCD lessons with practical skills to prepare young people for active roles in social development. Despite the challenges and complexities in the region, MYDA remains committed to human resource development as a crucial step toward rebuilding the nation. The association has made remarkable contributions in areas such as environmental preservation, education for children, and public health awareness.
This month, MYDA initiated a public awareness seminar and a seed project focused on environmental conservation. Training participants led the seminar, followed by a community clean-up effort, including clearing village roads, collecting garbage, and installing a notice board to educate the public on responsible waste disposal.
Through its unwavering commitment to empowering youth and fostering community development, MYDA continues to make a lasting difference. By equipping young people with the knowledge and skills to serve their communities, the association not only addresses immediate challenges but also lays the foundation for long-term transformation.
