Clean Water Saves Lives
Receiving a water filter was a vital step toward better health and a safer life.
Umm Israa was going through very difficult health challenges. She suffered from kidney problems and high levels of salt, while her daughter was also ill. The doctor always emphasized that the most important step in her treatment was to drink clean, filtered water. Unfortunately, installing a filter at home was beyond her means, and her circumstances didn’t allow it. Despite her great need, she never complained. She would just say, “I wish I could drink clean water so I could be healthier, but I can’t afford to install a filter.”
When our Transformational Community Development (TCD) team learned about her situation, we went to her home and installed the filter ourselves. That moment was full of joy and gratitude. Umm Israa thanked everyone who contributed, saying, “I could have never done this on my own. May everyone who stood by me be blessed.”
For Umm Israa the filter wasn’t just a device; it was a step toward continuing her treatment, maintaining her health, and ensuring a safer life for herself and her daughter.
Thank you,
