A Determined Apprentice
The youth in Kouvome are building skills for a brighter future.
Miss Ardjate is a 15-year-old Fulani girl from a disadvantaged family. After completing primary school, she felt uncertain about her future and spent time at home with nothing to do. With the support of the Transformational Community Development (TCD) Education Committee, Ardjate recognized the risks of idleness and decided to take charge of her future.
She is set to begin learning sewing in January 2026, with the goal of contributing to her family’s finances and improving their living conditions. Her first step on this journey is securing a sewing apprenticeship. Ardjate’s determination has sparked renewed hope for both herself and her family.
Thanks to TCD’s commitment to empowering young people through education and practical skills, Ardjate now looks forward to a brighter and more self-reliant future.
Thank you!
