The Wellness Committee and the community Champion had an urgent, community-wide conversation about hepatitis, a topic many residents of Kassena Point had little prior understanding of. As the champion carefully explained the symptoms and dangers of the disease, concern spread through the gathering, but so did determination. By the end of the training, the residents collectively resolved to take action by going for testing and vaccination, recognizing that good health is essential for the community’s development. With this new awareness taking root, the next step is already in motion—arranging a meeting with a clinic doctor who can guide them toward proper medical support.
The Transformational Community Development (TCD) community is setting the pace for Kassena Point this year, and we appreciate their effort. Soon, through the initiative, we will become a standard to be used by other neighboring communities.
Thank you!
