Um Hiba’s story began in deep pain, but it became a powerful journey of rescue when she encountered an opportunity for change. She was living through the trauma of losing her husband in a tragic incident linked to his addiction and drug trade, leaving her filled with anger and harshness. Before joining the Transformational Community Development (TCD) group, she was known for her aggressive behavior—feared by many and constantly in conflict with those around her. She trusted no one and carried deep wounds that shaped her words and actions.

When Um Hiba first joined TCD, she even argued with the group leader, but the team responded with patience and kindness, encouraging her to stay. Through TCD principles, she began to engage honestly in every session—sharing openly, questioning, and asking for help. She described each lesson as a “lifeline” pulling her out of the life she once knew. Over time, she started learning gentleness and self-control, and her relationships began to change noticeably. She is now actively participating, speaking with openness, and even seeking ways to support others.

Today, Um Hiba is walking a new path of growth and hope, aiming to build a more peaceful life for herself and her family. Her story shows how compassion and the application of TCD principles can transform even the hardest hearts into sources of life and hope.
