In the trauma healing group, 14 amazing women completed their journey with incredible courage and determination. We’re confident they will become a powerful inspiration to others!

In July, the clinic welcomed 55 patients, providing them with essential medical advice, guidance, and necessary medications. Most patients were dealing with seasonal illnesses, high blood pressure, and obesity. In addition to medical support, the doctor also focused on offering emotional encouragement and support to help patients through their health challenges. Sara, a patient at the clinic, was struggling with intense pain in her hand tendons. After a thorough examination, the doctor advised her to rest and avoid lifting heavy weights. To alleviate her suffering, he prescribed a pain reliever. With this compassionate care, Sara is on the path to recovery and relief.

Through our summer school program, 50 children completed the inspiring journey titled “Love Fingerprint.” Throughout this adventure, they embraced the values of forgiveness and loving others while discovering their unique talents. It was a transformative experience full of growth and joy! As a special conclusion to their summer, the children were prepared for the upcoming school year with the gift of new backpacks, ensuring they are ready and excited for their next educational adventure.

We launched our new English course for children, dividing them into two age-specific classes. The program kicked off with an orientation day where students met and engaged in team-building activities, setting a positive tone for the course. Over the month, the younger group focused on learning numbers and shapes, while the older group delved into new grammar concepts. Both classes engaged in interactive activities and completed worksheets to reinforce these topics in a fun and memorable way. The orientation day effectively set a friendly atmosphere, and despite some initial classroom management challenges, the enthusiasm and progress have been promising.

The sewing workshop kicked off with five enthusiastic women eager to learn the craft. They’re diving into the basics, mastering the use of essential tools like scissors and measuring devices, and getting hands-on experience with sewing machines. This is the beginning of an exciting journey into the world of sewing for these passionate learners!

The English conversation course kicked off with 20 energetic young women diving into new vocabulary and phrases. Although it was challenging at first, they’ve made incredible progress, and now they can share stories with greater confidence and boldness. Throughout the course, the young women found a safe space to express themselves, their feelings, and their life experiences. Their journey to fluency is off to a fantastic start!

As we reflect on the Transformational Community Development (TCD) activities and achievements of July, we are filled with pride and gratitude for the resilience and enthusiasm shown by all participants. House of Ruth continues to be a beacon of hope, learning, and empowerment in our community. We look forward to the exciting journeys and success stories that lie ahead.
