As families in Maisha Bora are able to raise their income through targeted microloans, the whole community is seeing an economic boost.

The Maisha Bora community is making steady progress in tackling economic challenges, largely thanks to the partnership with GHNI. Their efforts have empowered many to start small businesses, boosting both family incomes and the local economy.

One notable example is Hassan, who started a chicken farming business after receiving a microloan from GHNI. With 50 chickens for laying and guidance through Transformational Community Development (TCD) trainings, her farm now produces 1500 eggs monthly, earning her Ksh 30,000 ($232). This reliable income has provided financial stability for her family.

Hassan’s success highlights the transformative impact of GHNI’s partnership. The Maisha Bora community is on a path toward sustained economic growth, showing how targeted empowerment can create lasting change.
