In Kibera, community members are taking bold steps toward water security through Transformational Community Development (TCD) training. With water scarcity posing a constant challenge, the training equipped residents with practical skills to collect, store, and purify rainwater for safe use. Following the training, the villagers built a makeshift water tank as a shared resource for the entire community. The tank now provides access to clean water during dry periods. Residents also learned treatment techniques like filtration and solar disinfection to keep the water safe for drinking.
The collective efforts of the Kibera community reflect their determination to overcome water shortages and improve their well-being. Through TCD, they have developed a sustainable solution that offers both relief and hope for a healthier, more resilient future.
Thank you!
