Villagers Care for One Another When Sick
The village Champion continues to bring Help and Hope to the suffering villagers.
The villagers were forced to contribute funds to the regime under the formation of national security troops which caused insecurity and burdens to the community. The complexity and uncertainty of the situation has tested the community’s resiliency, and the community is adapting to the changing situation to bring hope for the future of their community.
Due to the current political situation, the community suffers significant hardships. Their security has been threatened and the majority of men in the community have left the village from the regime’s arbitrary recruitment for new soldiers. In various ways, the community feels persecution because of being targeted by the local authority. However, they are taking care of one another, sharing what they have. During this quarter, some of the villagers suffered different kinds of ailments. Our Champion made door-to-door visits to the families and provided medical assistance to the needy. The political situation has hindered us from effectively engaging with the community. But it is encouraging to see our Champion’s willingness to help her community and the villagers desire to make themselves ready for more Transformational Community Development (TCD) works when the door is opened.
Our plan is to try different alternatives to meet the Champion and community key leaders outside of the village for safety reasons and discuss strategic plans for the TCD program in the community.

Wellness
The committee was reformed and expected to function more effectively. However, the current political situation unexpectedly had negative impacts on the Wellness committee. Our Champion is still taking care of the sick and providing medical assistance to them.
