Committees Take Responsibility for Their Future
Solving their own problems with the resources they have is key to becoming self-sustainable.
This month, we moved forward with planning and the formation of a Village Committee. The Dadpur Transformational Community Development (TCD) Committee is taking various decisions through meetings for the development of their village. Most of the people are day laborers, so because they can’t attend meetings during the day, they are holding meetings at night.
In this meeting, the committee decided to increase the tuition fees of preschool students. In this way, they are thinking of increasing the income of the school so that in the future they can run this preschool on their own.
The TCD committee formed a self-help savings group with the people of the village. They are trying to financially develop their villagers. As per the village members’ decision, each family is contributing 20 taka every month so that they can take loans to overcome their financial crisis in the future. Most of the people are interested in this.
Thank you to all who support TCD in our village and may it continue to impact lives in the community.
Thank you!
